In Arknights: Endfield, the development of your base depends directly on how well your production is set up. Factories let you process resources, generate energy, and create materials that are essential for upgrading equipment and progressing through the story.

This guide will explain how factory and AIC construction works in Arknights: Endfield, where to start with production, how to generate electricity, and which production chains you should prioritize in the early stages of the game.

What is an AIC

An Automated Production Complex (AIC) is a network of nodes, modules, machines, conveyors, and devices. The game offers a wide range of configurations to handle different tasks—whether it’s collecting seeds, producing batteries, or assembling operator gear.

There’s a blueprint system that lets you save your factory layouts. Any AIC setup can be turned into a blueprint, preserving all the materials. You can then deploy this plan in another location. We’ve covered how to use and share blueprints with friends in another guide.

How to Unlock Upgrades

Building complex production lines requires advanced technology. Arknights uses a classic RPG-style tech tree. As you progress through the main story and side quests, you’ll unlock new upgrades for your base.

So, don’t try to set up complicated, multi-stage chains right from the start. It’s also important to explore the world. Across Tallos II, you can find not only exotic materials but also energy nodes and spots for relay towers.

How to Generate Electricity

A factory can’t run without power. As your AIC network grows, you’ll need to increase your energy output. Early on, you should build a thermal bank, which unlocks after upgrading your base core. To get it, complete the “Paving the Way” quest.

Each unit requires a dozen Amethyst Parts and Origocryst. Origocryst is produced in the Refining Unit, and Amethyst Parts are assembled from amethyst ore in the Fitting Unit. The block doesn’t take up much space, so you can place it close to other batteries. We recommend installing them in groups of four.

Regular Raids

Enemies drop a variety of valuable resources and currencies. Some materials are used in AICs. Sometimes, defeating enemies gives you vouchers that can be spent on different upgrades and consumables for your operators. More importantly, going on regular raids raises your squad’s level, allowing you to unlock more locations.

Expanding your territory lets you find deposits of basic resources, which speeds up base development. Knowing resource locations and enemy spawn points will save you a lot of grinding time. So, make sure to explore and fight monsters as you go.

Key Production Lines

The game features many resources, materials, and crafting items, which can be overwhelming for new players. In this section, we’ll explain how to set up the most important production lines early in the game.

Amethyst Part

Crafted at the Fitting Unit from Amethyst Fiber.

Amethyst Fiber

A primary product made by refining Amethyst Ore. Fiber is produced in the Refining Unit.

Amethyst Component

A complex material used for high-end gear. Crafted at the Gearing Unit from five Amethyst Fiber and Origocrust.

Origocrust

A basic resource for many recipes. Obtained by refining minerals in the Refining Unit.

Amethyst Bottle

Used in assembling Tank Capsules. Crafted at the Moulding Unit from Amethyst Fiber.

Buckflower Powder

Used by operators as a medkit. To craft it, you’ll need Buckflower Seeds from the Planting Unit, which are then processed in the Shredding Unit.
