Good Business, Better Treasure Prologue II Walkthrough in NTE: Neverness to Everness
Vladislav Sham
After the opening chapter, the main character in NTE: Neverness to Everness gets a business card for the Eibon Antique House. Here, you'll meet your core team and head out on your first official mission to deal with an anomaly. In this guide, we'll break down how to complete the game's second prologue and defeat the quest's final boss.
Good Business, Better Treasure Walkthrough (Chapter 1: Prologue 2)
In the second prologue of Neverness to Everness, you'll get to know the Eibon Antique House, unlock your first city points, receive your phone and console, and then head to the photo studio for your first full anomaly elimination mission.
Exploring the City
After the van ride, you regain control and walk over to Mint. Cross the tram tracks and go up the stairs to the main Hankaku Square. Pick up the oracle's eye shaped like a crow on a wooden stand, then head down the left road.
You'll come to a large golden monument — Wertheimer Tower. After talking with Mint, get closer and press the Synchronize button. Wertheimer Towers work like towers that reveal the map and unlock special anomaly tasks in the region.
Close the menu, turn right, and go up the stairs. Keep going to the end, talk to Mint again, and walk through the alley. Down below you'll find a special red phone booth you can use to fast travel around the map. Activate it and enter the brick building through the main door.
How to enter the Eibon Antique House
Watch the intro cutscene with the crab bell and ring the Ding-dong at the reception desk. The butler Adler and his otter assistant will show up. Because of Mint's mistake, your team is temporarily reduced, and the robot Taigedo mistakes you for cockroaches that need to be exterminated.
How to defeat Taigedo
The otter has quite a few attack patterns. Its arsenal includes: close-range hammer swings, jumping attacks with area damage, spraying cockroach repellent that poisons your characters, summoning toy dump trucks, and launching rockets from above.
Dodge the creature's charges with dashes and deal damage during the openings between its attacks. Once you stagger the boss or drop its health to half, Taigedo will fall and drop four items nearby. Pick them up to deal extra damage, then keep attacking the boss.
First Elimination Mission
After your victory, watch the cutscene where you meet all the residents of the antique shop, then follow Adler to the dormitory. Check out your room, walk over to the bed, and go to sleep.
How to get your phone and prepare for the first mission
After resting and restoring your health, head outside and return to the shop to greet Adler. Once you finish talking with the butler, go to the table in the right corner and pick up your phone. This lets you communicate with characters, give them gifts, and spend time with them to earn extra rewards.
Collect your gifts for meeting a new character and head upstairs to the second floor. Talk to the three kids, then go back down to the lobby to get your first anomaly elimination mission. Outside, you'll be introduced to the Console mechanic. These are local artifacts that affect your characters' stats.
You can insert one cartridge and several additional modules into the console. The combination of a cartridge and certain modules gives extra passive effects. Insert the cartridge into the slot at the bottom, then arrange all the modules like Tetris pieces.
How to reach the photo studio and start the elimination mission
Exit the menu and follow the group to the photo studio, heading straight outside and then down the road to the left. Talk to the studio owner and enter the building. Walk over to the table on the right and check out the area, picking up notes from the table and the cabinet by the wall. After that, return to the lobby and head to the computer room. Examine the electronic devices on the table.
Keep following the yellow markers and defeat the enemies that appear on the second floor. Then check the camera near the green screen and another camera in the decorative house. When you leave the set, three monsters will attack you. Take them out and look around Studio 3.
Find the worn photograph past the doorway, walk up to the red camera sign, and move to Studio 4. Check the camera, defeat two Oddities, and go through the red door across from you. At first, it won't open, but after a flash of light, the door will vanish.
Inside, look for the shelf with cameras and inspect it. The anomaly will catch you and transport you to another dimension. Follow the yellow markers until you see a floating ball of film. Touch the object to return to the real world.
How to clear the anomaly in the photo studio
Leave the room, follow the marker again, and head up to the third floor of the studio. Defeat two monsters, then go to the end of the hallway into a dimly lit room. Examine the floating photos near the armchair, talk to your companion, and make your way to the basement.
The anomaly will pull you into another dimension once more. Turn left, open the turquoise door, and go up the stairs to the hall with the armchair. The wall behind it will disappear, opening a path to the next "island." In the room with three chairs, open the turquoise door in the corner and go through the corridor.
At the end, you'll find yourself in a studio with forest decorations. Walk along the path and head up to the hall with ancient Greek columns. Find the ball of film and exit the anomaly back to the real world.
Go down to the basement, get caught by the anomaly, and end up in another dimension. Three monsters will attack you, but you don't have to fight them. Just run to the floating ball and escape back to the real photo studio. Follow the yellow marker, open the basement door, and watch a cutscene with the main characters, after which the boss fight with Film — MANISH will begin.
How to defeat Film — MANISH
The fight with Film — MANISH wraps up the second prologue of Neverness to Everness. The boss has two phases, with most of the danger coming from area attacks, summoned mobs, and portals with speeding trains.
The boss is a black orb with drawn faces. It can summon film strips that launch dangerous trash objects, and it can dash toward the heroes to grab them or spin in a circular whirlwind. After a few attacks, the film will start firing orbital shots that split the arena into tiles. Stand inside the safe zones to avoid explosive damage.
When its health gets low, the boss gains two new attacks. First, the film summons two mobs and disappears from the battlefield. While these mobs are alive, you can't attack the boss directly. Then it goes berserk and starts creating portals with trains rushing through at full speed. Keep an eye on their positions and dodge at the right moment.
After your victory, the team will collect the cursed film, take a quick group photo, and return to the city streets. At this point, talk to Kodak and head back to the Eibon shop. Finish the mission by chatting with the team, go to the dorm, and get some rest after a busy day.
