NTE Love That Begins With Lies Walkthrough — Chapter 2 Guide

After the first official mission at the Avon shop, the story in NTE: Neverness to Everness shifts to a more relaxed episode. The otter assistant, Taigedo, asks the team to help him get ready for a date, but the quest still ends with a boss fight. In this guide, we'll show you how to complete this quest and defeat the Fantastilin.

After reaching Hunter Level 10, you’ll get a message from Taigedo. He’ll ask the appraiser to meet the team outside the building. Leave the Avon antique shop and go up the stairs on the left.

After discussing the situation, the team decides to help Taigedo pick out an outfit for his date at the Narrow Closet shop. To get there, walk straight down the sidewalk, turn right, and head into the park. Look for a small alley between two shops on the left—Alice Bakery and a Chinese-themed restaurant.

Next, Adler will suggest stopping by the Q3 Fashion shop. Follow the long hallway with the decorated wall, go straight, and climb the stairs. After a while, you’ll reach the main road. Turn right and keep going until you see an intersection with a tunnel. Then turn left and stop near the big red building with the Q3 sign.

Go inside, watch the cutscene, and talk to the shop assistant. Then head into the fitting room on the left, and after the conversation, leave the building. Outside, discuss things with the team and start looking for a gift.

Go back to the left intersection, cross the street at the crosswalk, and find the alley behind the red building. There you’ll see the pink Oops Chest shop with a bunny above the door. Inside, check out the piggy bank first, then the pink flamingo candleholder, and finally the pink bear-shaped alarm clock. None of these gifts will work, so the team decides to check the next shop. In the flower stall, talk to the vendor and buy a large bouquet of roses for a thousand Fons. After that, the otter will notice a big diamond on the table.

After this, the heroes learn about unique toys from the DSD POP shop and decide to visit one of its branches. To do this, return to the main road and walk straight ahead. On the right, you’ll see a bright red building with a neon sign. First, talk to the security guard at the entrance, then to the customer inside, and finally buy the Fantastilin from the cashier.

After discussing the purchase with your team, leave the building and use the phone booth to return to the Avon antique shop. Go up to the second floor, talk with your team, and head to the dorm to rest.

The next day, go to the main entrance and talk over the plans with your team. Then head to the date location marked on your map. Go up the stairs on the right, cross the street, and turn left. Go up again into the forest park and move toward the red gas station with the Delta sign.

Follow Adler and Taigedo down the street until you meet your companion's love interest. Talk to the bear, cross the street, and head to the arcade area on the left side of the street. After the cutscene, return to the intersection and look for a special candy at the Puka sweet shop. Inside, talk to the owner and buy the seashell candy for 900 Fons.

Then reply to Adler's message on your phone and go back to the arcade. Find your friends in the far left corner and talk to them. After that, you'll be offered a chance to win a prize from the claw machine. Pay for one ticket, position the claw, and check its placement from two angles. Lower the mechanism and try to grab the toy—it might not work on your first try.

Once you win the prize, give it to Taigedo and talk to the otter's companion about the next meeting spot. Leave the arcade, turn left, and head to the intersection. At this point, a cutscene will start with a fake attack that quickly turns into a real fight with Nanalli.

During the battle, the enemy uses the same abilities as in the game version. All attacks have red indicators showing when you need to dash to dodge. Defeat your opponent, watch the cutscene, and then talk to Adler in the alley.

After this, use transport and follow the main road to the right to reach Azura Vista, the next quest location. Once you’re at the park, go up the forest path to the top of the mountain. Watch a few dialogues, talk to the butler and Nanalli, then give Taigedo the Fantastilin you got from your team. The date won’t go as planned, and your next task will be to deal with the anomaly—a monster made from Fantastilin.

Fantastilin looks like a purple jelly-like blob with glitter and a bow. In the first phase, the boss shoots projectiles from a distance, jumps around the arena, slams its head into the ground, and does spinning attacks. The best time to attack is right after its ranged shots or head slams, when it’s most vulnerable.

When the boss's health drops to about 75%, Fantastilin will split into two. Each copy has its own health bar and separate attacks. In addition to the usual spinning strikes and projectile throws, a combo move appears where both copies merge and try to crush the heroes. Later, the boss can split again, but by then its health will be almost gone. After you win, talk to your team, skip to the next day, and return to the park. Head to the campfire and watch the final cutscene that wraps up this part of Taigedo's story.
