Bully for Bullet is a side quest in the Old Camp in Gothic 1 Remake, which becomes available after you gain access to Gomez's castle. The red-haired cook Sira asks you to teach Bullit a lesson. He is the guard who attacked the Nameless Hero at the very beginning of the game. In this guide, we explain where to find Sira, how to enter the Old Camp fortress, where to look for Bullit, and how to beat him in a fight.

How to Start the Bully for Bullet Quest

The quest is given by Sira, whom you can meet inside the Old Camp castle. You can enter the fortress after completing the first story chapter and gaining access to the inner castle of the Old Camp. The girl will ask you to find and beat Bullit, the same guard who attacked the Nameless Hero at the very beginning of the game.

How to Enter the Old Camp Castle

Before looking for Sira, you need to get into the inner castle of the Old Camp. The entrance to the fortress is guarded by Thorus and his men, so you cannot simply walk inside without meeting certain conditions. You can unlock access in several ways:

It is better not to do this quest right away. Wait until you have starter armor and some basic combat training. Bullit is stronger than most early enemies, so an unprepared hero can lose the fight very quickly.

Where to Find Sira in the Old Camp

Sira is inside the Old Camp castle. During the day, she can usually be found in one of the towers where the kitchen is located. Walk past Thorus, go around the fortress on the right side, and move through the guards' training yard. Then enter the kitchen and talk to the red-haired girl.

Sometimes Sira walks around the castle grounds, but she does not leave the fortress. To start the Bully for Bullet quest, choose the dialogue option "Maybe I can help you with something?"

How to Find Bullit

From morning until evening, Bullit can be found in the tavern located to the right of the castle gate. Approach the bully, and a dialogue will start automatically, where he reminds you how he beat the hero at the beginning of his journey. At this point, you have a choice: attack him or leave. If you decide to attack, no one will interfere in the fight. The guards will surround you and watch the duel. However, if you hit any of them, the entire Old Camp will turn against the hero.

There is also a second option: wait until evening, around 23:00, and follow the drunk Bullit. He will head toward Snaf's cauldron. You can attack him from behind when there are no witnesses nearby. If the guards notice the fight, they will interfere and call for backup. This method is riskier, but it lets you land the first hit before the real fight begins.

How to Beat Bullit

Bullit is one of the most dangerous fighters in the Old Camp early in the game. Before the fight, it is best to improve your armor, find skill teachers and level up your combat abilities. Without preparation, Bullit can easily knock the hero down and end the fight quickly. The enemy attacks with a three-hit combo, where the final strike is a jumping sword thrust that knocks the hero off his feet. Dodge his attacks, then strike from the side and wait for the next opening.

For defeating Bullit, the hero receives 120 experience points. While the enemy is lying on the ground, you can take the following items from him:

  • Warrior's Sword.
  • Light Crossbow.
  • Torch.
  • Bolt (17).
  • Cheese.
  • Apple.
  • Ore Nugget (25).

After the victory, return to Sira and receive 500 experience points. Then the girl will ask you to visit the Swamp Camp and find out whether she can join the Templars. Later, in Chapters 4 and 5, you will get a chance to influence her fate. For now, you can also go to Snaf and take the Double, Double side quest, which is also connected to the red-haired cook.
