Palworld 1.0 Sunreach Guide: How to Reach the Floating Islands
In this guide, we will explain how to reach the new Sunreach region in Palworld, where to find the portal at the top of Feybreak Tower, how to defeat Bjorn and Bastigor, what resources can be found in the region, how to remove the fog from the map, and where the Auri and Shaolong tower is located.
With the release of Palworld 1.0, the developers at Pocketpair added a new region to explore: Sunreach, a chain of islands floating high in the sky. In this guide, we will explain in detail how to reach the new region, clear the fog from the map, and what to do there.
What to Do Before Traveling to Sunreach
Sunreach is a late-game region, so before heading there, you should spend some time upgrading your gear and combat Pals. We recommend bringing enough food, spheres for catching Pals, and healing items. Flying Pals with a large stamina pool are excellent for comfortable movement around the new region.
How to Reach the Sunreach Region
To travel to the sky islands of the Sunreach region, visit the southwestern part of Feybreak Island and find Feybreak Tower at coordinates (-1294, -1669).
There, you will have to fight Bjorn and Bastigor. To win, follow these tips:
- Make sure your character and Pals are at least level 60.
- Use armor with cold resistance, because the tower area is located in a cold zone.
- Stock up on plenty of healing items.
- Focus on Fire damage: Bastigor is an Ice-type Pal, so Fire Pals and weapons will be especially useful.
After successfully completing the battle, you will gain access to the passage at the top of Feybreak Tower. There is a portal or special fast travel point that lets you reach the sky islands of the Sunreach region.
Do not try to reach Sunreach by simply flying there from the map. The region is extremely high up, does not display properly on the map before your first visit, and near Feybreak you can come under the effect of defense systems and anti-air missiles. The reliable path for your first visit is to clear Feybreak Tower, defeat Bjorn and Bastigor, and then use the passage at the top of the tower.
How to Remove the Fog from the Sunreach Map
Once you arrive at the starting area of Sunreach, you will notice that the sky islands are covered by fog when you open the map. To reveal the region, reach the Sunreach Watchtower in the southwestern part of the archipelago.
Activate the device at the top of the tower to remove the fog from the map and reveal points of interest for further exploration.
What to Do in the Sunreach Region
Sunreach is a late-game region where you can do familiar activities from other locations: farming resources, searching for rare Pals, and taking part in other endgame activities.
The territory is divided into several floating islands, and moving between them without a flying Pal will be difficult. The region also contains special objects: purple spheres can transport the character between parts of the sky islands, while large pink buds temporarily weaken gravity and help you move along vertical routes.
This region contains a unique resource: Soralite, which can be mined on the floating islands of Sunreach. Farming it will let you craft high-level equipment and machinery.
Sunreach Tower is located in the central part of the region. There, you can challenge the new bosses Auri and Shaolong.
Before fighting Auri and Shaolong, you need to disable six defense modules scattered across the sky islands. After you arrive in Sunreach, they are marked on the map and guide the player through the region. Disable all modules to remove the tower's protection and gain access to the boss fight.
Should You Fly to Sunreach Immediately After Unlocking It?
It is best to travel to the floating islands of Sunreach only after proper preparation and after reaching a high level with both your character and Pals. In this late-game region, you will face strong Pals, Alpha Pals around level 65-70, new bosses, and a resource used for endgame crafting. We recommend paying special attention to farming Soralite, since this resource is required for advanced equipment and machinery.
