DragonSword: Awakening All Characters Guide: How to Unlock Every Hero

The new fantasy adventure DragonSword: Awakening lets you control several heroes at once. The roster is fairly large, and many players used to gacha games may wonder how to collect every character. Fortunately, you can do it without donations or random banners. In this guide, we will explain how to unlock every hero, where to get Invitation of Fate letters, what Karma is for, and which characters are available in the game.

The first thing you should know is that absolutely every hero can be obtained for free. DragonSword: Awakening is not a gacha game and does not require extra spending from the player, but that does not mean you will not have to put in some effort. There are 19 characters in the game, and each one has their own traits, strengths, and weaknesses. To collect every character, you will need to do two things:

Invitation of Fate letters can be exchanged in a special shop menu. Unlocking one hero requires one letter. This is how you will obtain 11 of the 19 characters.

Karma is a little more complicated. While exploring, you will find Fragments of Memory and Fragments of Afterimage. These can be exchanged for high-level or exclusive Karma, which you will need for the remaining characters. Fragments of Memory can often be found in chests, while a Fragment of Afterimage must be bought from the alchemist's shop for 100 Fragments of Memory and 100,000 gold. To unlock the alchemy workshop, you need to complete Chapter 2 of the main quest "Savior of the World", then talk to Shanoa in Orbis Royal.

There are no weak or useless characters in the game, although they all differ in efficiency, roles, and ease of use in combat. Battles are built around team interaction, so a lower-ranked hero in the right party can be more useful than a powerful fighter placed in a poorly matched team. Characters are also divided into factions, with five factions currently available.

In DragonSword: Awakening, Johnny's Mercenaries are a small group of free adventurers chasing fame and gold. The main character, Lute, accidentally ends up joining them.

In DragonSword: Awakening, the Red Fox Squad serves as the main rival of the protagonist during the early stages of the story.

In DragonSword: Awakening, the Organa Order is a religious organization known for its fanaticism and particular brutality in battle.

The Kingdom of Orbis is the central location of DragonSword: Awakening's fantasy world. This is where the protagonist is heading. Members of this faction are the country's main warriors.

The final DragonSword: Awakening faction has not yet been fully introduced. Charlotte and Othello's story will be developed in free updates.
