DragonSword: Awakening Fast Travel Guide for Waypoints and Map Fog
DragonSword: Awakening is an Unreal Engine 5 action RPG reminiscent of Genshin Impact. It is a paid game, but it does not have gacha mechanics that require you to spend real money to access the best characters and weapons for them. You can expect colorful heroes, a solid story, and a large open world. In this guide, we will explain how to unlock fast travel, clear the fog from the map, and find teleportation points.
How to Unlock Fast Travel and Clear the Fog
Fast travel is not available at the very beginning of the game. You need to complete main story quests until you unlock the quest A Mystery From Antiquity. During this mission, you will need to activate the Eona's Legacy tower. This is a shrine that works as a fast travel point and removes the black fog from the map. Thanks to it, you will be able to navigate the area and return to this point whenever needed.
How to Reveal the Entire Map in DragonSword: Awakening
To remove the fog across the whole DragonSword: Awakening world map, you need to find other shrines. When you get close to one of them, an icon or faint glow will appear on the compass. Approach the shrine and activate it. Without unlocked fast travel points, traveling through the world and exploring it will be much more difficult.
Where to Find All Teleportation Points
If you do not want to search for shrines yourself, use our map. It shows the locations of all teleportation points in the game.
Ideally, you should unlock the nearest shrine first, then start exploring the surrounding area. It is best to move around on a mount. You will receive your first mount shortly after completing the prologue. To do this, talk to Anne in Orbis Royal Castle. This will unlock the Robust Stag Beetle, which can glide, climb steep slopes, and swim.
Later, you will reach the Novice Mercenary Corps, where new mounts become available. Each one has its own specialization. For example, the Direwolf moves quickly across the ground, the Acorn Flying Squirrel is good at traversing sheer cliffs and buildings, the Mist Wing Cat swims very well, and the Brave Baby Dragon is suited for flying. You can switch mounts and choose the one that works best for a specific type of terrain.
Mounts are especially useful when searching for new shrines: one can get you to a distant point faster, another can help you climb rocks, and a third can let you cross water or reach a hard-to-access part of the map.
