Silent Hill: Townfall All 15 Strange Postcard Locations
Silent Hill: Townfall features a unique type of collectible called Strange Postcards, with 15 to find throughout the game. They are easy to miss, but collecting the full set unlocks the Blur Your Eyes trophy, and the postcards themselves may also contain clues related to the game's alternate ending. In this guide, we'll show you where to find all 15 Strange Postcards and explain how they connect to Townfall's secret ending.
In addition to the phone numbers scattered across St. Amelia, Townfall hides another collectible category: Strange Postcards. There are 15 in total, and they are much harder to find than most documents. They are not highlighted in bold in your objective list, they are often tucked away in easy-to-miss corners, and they are rarely placed directly along the main story path. Collecting all of them unlocks the Blur Your Eyes trophy, and the name is fitting. The postcards show blurred, almost out-of-focus figures, while the captions read like fragments from someone else's dream.
Strange Postcards can only be collected while playing as Simon in Parts 1, 2, 3, 4, and 6. There are none in Part 5. Your progress carries over between playthroughs, so any postcards you've already found remain in your Documents when you start a new game. This means you can simply hunt down the ones you're missing without having to collect all 15 again in a single run. Interestingly, the postcards are also considered one of the clues pointing toward the game's secret Sci-fi ending, although collecting them is not actually required to unlock it.
Part 1
Video Star
The first postcard can be found before the game has really had a chance to scare you. In the western part of Shorefront District — South, right at the edge of the map, you'll find the VIDEO STAR store with All Must Go stickers on the windows. The postcard is lying on the counter by the register, among takeaway pizza boxes and scattered trash.
St. Amelia Park
Later, once St. Amelia Park becomes accessible, check behind one of the residential buildings in the southern part of the area. Behind the building marked with the number 3 on the tourist map is a narrow alley leading to some dumpsters. The postcard is lying directly on the pavement beside one of the bins, almost blending into the wet stone.
Dead End
North of the park, on Farrow Street, head all the way to the dead end at the western side of the road. Where the street terminates at a solid wall, the postcard is stuck directly to the brickwork at roughly eye level. The corner is quite dark, so it's easy to miss.
Apartment Building
The final postcard in this part is hidden inside the apartment building south of the structure marked 14 on the map. Go up to the second floor, enter apartment 1/2, and check the southeast room. The postcard is lying on the floor at the foot of the bed, among children's drawings of ships and seashells on the wallpaper, next to an abandoned backpack.
Part 2
Medical Centre
Part 2 contains two postcards around the Medical Centre section, and both require a slight detour from the main route.
First, after the story returns control to Simon following Zoe's sequence at the Medical Centre, head into Shorefront District — North and make your way to The Wynds. Instead of going through the main gates, take the side path on the right. It leads to a staircase descending into an alley near a phone booth. The fifth postcard is lying there beside a pile of boots against the wall.
Otherworld
The second postcard in this part appears in the Otherworld. After leaving the building on Commercial Road, go through the small garden area to the right of the house and check one of the sheds. The postcard is hidden inside among watering cans and gardening tools.
Part 3
X-Ray Room
This part of the game is short, but it contains three postcards in quick succession, all tied to exploring the distorted version of the Medical Centre.
Right at the start of the chapter, head to the room beside the elevator shaft. Enter code 7103 on the door to unlock it. The postcard is lying on the counter at the far end of the room.
Room 06
Next, after heading down to the floor marked W on the building map, enter Room 06. The postcard is sitting directly on the table inside and is easy to spot if you've already checked the floor plan you picked up during the investigation.
Room 08
The third postcard is hidden inside a medical cabinet mounted on the wall in Room 08, in the same distorted version of the hospital. You can only reach it after turning both valves upstairs and obtaining the required blood bags. The story will not let you return to this wing later, so make sure to collect the postcard immediately instead of leaving it for later.
Part 4
This is the part of the game with the most postcards. Five are scattered throughout the estate area, from streets lined with bodies to the upper floors of residential buildings.
Street
As you follow the street, you'll eventually reach a fork. Instead of turning left along the main route, go right toward the dead end. Just past the body hanging beneath the streetlight is a narrow passage between two buildings. Continue through two courtyards in a row until you reach a shed. The postcard is sitting on a shelf at the back.
Upper-Level Apartment
Near the end of the chapter, once you've reached the upper level inside one of the estate's residential buildings, check the bedroom in the far-left corner from the entrance. The postcard is hidden inside a dresser drawer among the former residents' personal belongings.
Estate, Lower Level
On the lower level, enter the building opposite Atlas Computers. There is a display window inside. Smash the glass and climb through. The postcard is lying on a small table next to a lamp.
Overpass
On the overpass in the southeastern part of the estate's upper level, head into the dead end near the metal cart. Another postcard is lying there.
Upper Bray House
The final postcard in this part is inside the house on Upper Bray. Switch the tape to Tape: Tomorrow, head downstairs, and leave through the back door using the key you found. Continue through the alley and crouch through the opening to reach a shed. The postcard is sitting on the table inside.
Part 6
Sewers
The fifteenth and final postcard is hidden near the very end of the game, in the tunnels beneath CEG HQ. After opening the vent and climbing through a short ladder section, you'll enter another stretch filled with pipes. At the four-way junction, turn right first, then left. The postcard is lying on the ground at the dead end.
Once you've collected all 15, check your trophy list. Blur Your Eyes should unlock immediately after you pick up the final postcard. The postcards do not provide any practical reward such as weapons or new abilities, but they are still worth finding for the strange sense of recognition they create when read carefully. They are one of the few ways Townfall tells the story of St. Amelia outside the main narrative, through fragments, hints, and half-glimpsed details, exactly as you would expect from Silent Hill.
