According to Variety, Amazon MGM has gained full creative control over the James Bond franchise, potentially leading to significant changes in its future development and characters.

Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli are stepping back from managing the franchise. They aimed to develop Bond in the classic style of previous films;
The franchise will now be overseen by Amazon MGM's head, Jennifer Salke, known for managing series like "The Wheel of Time" and "The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power." Rumor has it she previously canceled a "Conan" series, deeming it "toxic masculinity";
Barbara Broccoli has previously opposed changing the gender of Agent 007 and departing from the classic narrative. She also did not support plans for spin-offs and series based on the James Bond films;
