Amazon has officially confirmed that the second season of the Fallout series will premiere in December 2025. Additionally, the company has already begun preparations for a third season, though details about it will be revealed at a later date.
Despite the fact that filming for season two only wrapped up last week—and was previously halted due to wildfires in Los Angeles—Amazon surprised fans by announcing that new episodes will arrive as early as this winter. This move signals the company’s strong confidence in the show’s continued success.
The new season will continue the stories of first season protagonists Lucy, Maximus, and The Ghoul (Cooper Howard), whose finale teased a journey to New Vegas, the iconic city from Fallout: New Vegas. It’s already been confirmed that Mr. House will appear in season two, and on-set leaks suggest locations like Dinky the T-Rex and the Lucky 38 casino will be featured.
Fans can also look forward to seeing familiar elements from the games, including the city of Shady Sands (the capital of the New California Republic, known from Fallout 2) and a new original location called Philly, which is said to resemble Megaton (Fallout 3) and Diamond City (Fallout 4).
According to producers Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, the team is excited to “destroy the world again” for the fans. The project could potentially run for up to six seasons.
