The first poster for Christopher Nolan’s upcoming film The Odyssey has surfaced online. The film is based on Homer’s classic epic poem, chronicling King Odysseus’s perilous journey back to Ithaca following the fall of Troy.
The high-resolution image is a recreation of a poster photographed at an AMC theater chain. The tagline "Defy the Gods" clearly references Odysseus’s trials, including the wrath of Poseidon and other Olympian deities who sought to prevent his return home.
Nolan’s upcoming adventure epic boasts a star-studded cast, with Matt Damon in the lead role, joined by Tom Holland, Charlize Theron, Zendaya, Anne Hathaway, and several other high-profile actors. The first teaser is expected to debut in July.
The Odyssey is scheduled to premiere on July 17, 2026. Back in March, leaked set photos revealed Matt Damon and Zendaya in costume — with speculation that Zendaya may be portraying the goddess Athena.
