New 'Super Mario Movie' Announced, from the Creators of 'Minions'

During the latest Nintendo Direct, Super Mario Galaxy Movie was officially announced — a continuation of the first film in the franchise, The Super Mario Bros. Movie. The project is entrusted to Illumination Entertainment, with voice acting from stars such as Anya Taylor-Joy, Jack Black, and more.
Along with the announcement, the cast for the upcoming animated film was revealed. Chris Pratt will once again voice the iconic plumber Mario, Anya Taylor-Joy will reprise her role as Princess Peach, Jack Black will return as the charismatic villain Bowser, and Charlie Day will lend his voice to Luigi.
The movie is set to premiere in 2026. It will be based on the 2007 game of the same name for Nintendo Wii and Nvidia Shield TV. Еhe first installment, The Super Mario Bros. Movie, became a massive hit with audiences, even if critics weren’t as generous in their praise.
