Netflix has released the trailer for the fourth season of The Witcher, featuring Liam Hemsworth as Geralt instead of Henry Cavill. The new season is set to premiere on October 30.

The trailer picks up after the massive war that split the main trio—Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri. Geralt reflects on his life, saying he’s spent it fighting monsters and people alike to protect Ciri. Meanwhile, major changes are sweeping across the Continent: Vilgefortz is raising an army, posing a threat to Ciri’s future and to anyone trying to protect her.

The footage shows the heroes facing new enemies and unexpected allies, coming together to save Ciri and stand against a powerful evil. The theme of “found family” and overcoming dangers together is especially prominent—only united can they hope to survive.

It’s worth noting that, as of this writing, the trailer’s dislikes (2.3K) are nearly equal to the likes (2.4K). In the comments, many fans are still unhappy about Henry Cavill being replaced by Liam Hemsworth.

“Miss you Henry,” — nightrsr1244.

“Remember guys: don't blame Liam, blame the Producers,” — mr.haidari2007.

“Gonna miss Henry as Geralt, He gave it his all,” — Huzaifakhan-f6a.

“This tv show without Henry Cavill is like Pirates of Caribbean without Johny Depp,” — Rasim9898.

“The writing is too bad to salvage. They disrespected the source material for 3 seasons. And they got rid of Cavill Nothing will bring me back,” — Rasim9898.

Back in September, Liam Hemsworth shared how he prepared for the role of Geralt in The Witcher. Season four will feature eight episodes.

By the way, October 30 will also see the release of a Witcher spin-off focused on Ciri’s bandit adventures.
