At IGN Fall Fan Fest 2025, an exclusive clip from the fourth season of The Witcher was shown. It features the first appearance of Regis, played by Laurence Fishburne — the character frees Geralt and Jaskier, who are chained to pillars.
At the same time, Netflix and IGN revealed a series of character posters featuring Geralt, Ciri, Yennefer, Regis, and Jaskier.
The plot of the fourth season is based on Andrzej Sapkowski’s novels Baptism of Fire and The Tower of the Swallow. The fifth season will adapt The Lady of the Lake and serve as the series finale — filming is already underway.
The new season premieres on October 30 on Netflix, and the official trailer is now available online. The main change in the cast is Liam Hemsworth, who replaces Henry Cavill as Geralt.
Earlier, the show’s creators shared their thoughts on the casting change and what Liam Hemsworth brings to the role.
