According to earlier reports, Ruffalo may be portraying an alternate version of the Hulk — the Savage Hulk, a form where Bruce Banner completely loses control of his humanity. This theory aligns with recent set videos showing an ambulance taking Banner away, as well as massive wall damage at the filming location, possibly caused by the rampaging Hulk.
While the full plot of Brand New Day remains under wraps, the film is known to take place after No Way Home, where Tom Holland’s Peter Parker is left entirely alone. Doctor Strange’s spell erased the memories of everyone who knew him, forcing Spider-Man to continue protecting New York without any allies.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled to premiere on July 31, 2026. In addition to Ruffalo, the film will reportedly feature Michael Mando returning as Scorpion and Jon Bernthal reprising his role as The Punisher. Just yesterday, Stranger Things star Sadie Sink was also spotted on set in an undisclosed role.
