Team Arklay has unveiled the trailer for a fan-made film inspired by the original Resident Evil, with Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield taking center stage.
The project is based on the 2002 Resident Evil remake. According to the creators, their goal is to faithfully recreate key moments from the game while expanding the story with new scenes. The fan film is set for release on March 22, 2026.
Developed using Unreal Engine 5, the newly released trailer offers a quick recap of the classic story: the S.T.A.R.S. team lands near the infamous mansion after a series of mysterious attacks, only to face deadly dangers and terrifying monsters. The main characters are thrown into tense survival scenarios, investigating the disappearance of the Bravo team and battling mutants along the way.
It’s worth noting that director Zach Cregger is currently working on an official Resident Evil movie, which he says will capture the tone of the fourth game in the series.
Meanwhile, Resident Evil Requiem is also in development. Pre-orders went live in late October, along with the reveal of the game’s system requirements.
