Report: J.K. Rowling Visits ‘Harry Potter’ Series Set for the First Time

J.K. Rowling has visited the set of the upcoming Harry Potter series for the first time, according to Deadline. The author toured Warner Bros.’ Leavesden studios and additional locations across the U.K., where she evaluated the progress of the production.

One crew member joked that her arrival felt like a royal visit: senior staff were scrambling to clear their schedules so they could greet the distinguished guest.

Full-scale production began this summer. Rowling has been involved in “writing and casting decisions,” and in June she said she’d read the scripts for the first episodes and was thrilled with the results.

The first of seven planned seasons is set to debut in 2027. The lead roles are played by Dominic McLaughlin (Harry), Arabella Stanton (Hermione), and Alastair Stout (Ron).
