Media: Donald Trump put pressure on Paramount to film the fourth Rush Hour

Donald Trump has put pressure on Paramount Studios to make the fourth installment of Rush Hour. The reason is the American president's love of action movies and comedies from the 1980s and 90s, Semafor writes.

According to the newspaper, Trump could have put pressure on Larry Ellison, Paramount's largest shareholder, to have the studio remove the new Rush Hour. David Ellison, Larry's son, runs the company.

Deadline reports that Paramount will release the next Rush Hour movie on behalf of Warner Bros. The director may be Brett Ratner.

The original Rush Hour is remembered by many as a classic Hollywood blockbuster starring Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker.

Donald Trump's interest in continuing the franchise may be due to the fact that he is a long-time fan of noisy comedies and action films in the style of the 1980s and 90s. In particular, the president is very fond of Jean-Claude Van Damme's film Blood Sport from 1988.
