Amazon Prime Video has unveiled the first teaser trailer for the fifth and final season of The Boys. According to the initial synopsis, the world has completely fallen under Homelander’s control, with his volatile and egomaniacal whims now dictating everyone’s lives.
Hughie, Mother’s Milk, and Frenchie are imprisoned in what’s known as the “Freedom Camp.” Starlight is trying to form a resistance against the overwhelming power of the Supes, but her efforts seem futile in the face of Homelander’s growing influence. Kimiko has disappeared entirely — her fate remains unknown.
Meanwhile, Butcher returns to the battlefield, preparing to take extreme measures by using a virus capable of wiping out all Supes at once. His return sets off a chain of events that will permanently change the world and everyone in it.
The fifth season of The Boys premieres on April 8 on Prime Video. Returning cast members include Antony Starr, Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Karen Fukuhara, Erin Moriarty, and others. Soldier Boy, played by Jensen Ackles, also appears again—this time joined by his Supernatural co-star Jared Padalecki.
Earlier, the first posters for the final season of The Boys were released, and just recently Amazon Prime Video shared a clip from the second season of the Fallout series.
