The lead role of Kara Zor-El/Supergirl goes to House of the Dragon star Milly Alcock. The film promises to adapt one of the best Supergirl comics: on her 21st birthday, Kara sets off on a journey across the universe with her dog Krypto, becoming embroiled in a long tale of vengeance.
Supergirl is scheduled to premiere on June 26, 2026. In addition to Alcock, Jason Momoa also appears in the film — not as Aquaman this time, but as Lobo, the alien bounty hunter.
Earlier, Milly Alcock admitted she had felt anxious about joining Supergirl, as she doubted her own acting abilities.
