The First Trailer for Christopher Nolan’s New Star-Studded Film The Odyssey Has Been Released

Universal Pictures has unveiled the debut trailer for The Odyssey, the upcoming film from acclaimed director Christopher Nolan. Matt Damon takes on the lead role, portraying Odysseus, the king of Ithaca.
The film boasts an impressive cast, including Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong'o, Zendaya, Charlize Theron, Jon Bernthal, and Elliot Page.
The trailer offers a dark and epic reimagining of Homer’s classic tale, with Nolan’s signature focus on the cost of war and the arduous journey home. Viewers hear Odysseus’ voiceover reflecting on the longing to return home and reunite with family after years of the Trojan War, while the footage showcases raging sea storms, fierce battles, ruined landscapes, and brief glimpses of Penelope, Telemachus, and other key characters.
The Odyssey is set to premiere on July 17, 2026, with a reported budget of $250 million.
