The new Odyssey trailer has received twice as many views in the first 24 hours as Oppenheimer, which is a record for Nolan
The trailer for Christopher Nolan's new Odyssey movie has received 121.4 million views in the first 24 hours. That's twice as much as Oppenheimer, another famous film by the director, Forbes reports.
The debut trailer introduced Matt Damon, who plays the role of Odysseus. The rest of the cast in the new film is no less stellar. Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, Zendaya, Charlize Theron, Lupita Nyong'o, Jon Bernthal and Elliot Page participated in the shooting.
Analysts have calculated the number of views of the trailer on various social networks. It turned out to be 121.4 million. For comparison, Oppenheimer collected 50 million views in the first day.
Odyssey became the eighth most popular trailer when considering the number of views in the first 24 hours. The film The Devil Wears Prada 2, which scored more than 180 million, had better performance.
TikTok had the largest share of views of the new Odyssey trailer — 27%, YouTube took the second place and 26%.
The film is scheduled to premiere on July 17, 2026. The project budget is $250 million.
