Actor Raffi Silver, who portrays Robert House in the second season of the Fallout series, has revealed how he prepared for one of the franchise’s key characters. Instead of working with traditional consultants, he took a different route — fully immersing himself in fan-made lore breakdowns of Fallout: New Vegas on YouTube.

According to Silver, he spent hours watching videos by well-known Fallout lore creators. Among those he relied on, the actor named JuiceHead, MrMattyPlays, Oxhorn, and KnightRaven, referring to them as his personal “dramaturgs.”

I watched every single video from these creators, over and over, studying Robert House’s history — the death of his parents, the fate of his brother Anthony. I adopted his voice, his mannerisms, his way of thinking. These YouTubers educated me, and my work on set is a way of saying thank you to them.

The second season of the Fallout series premiered on December 17, with two episodes currently available to viewers. We’ve already watched them and were pleased with what we saw.
