Ocean Is Assembling the Crew Again: Original Trilogy Stars Will Return in ‘Ocean’s Fourteen’

Actor George Clooney has confirmed that the next film in the franchise — Ocean’s Fourteen — will reunite key members of the classic trilogy. Filming is planned to begin in October 2026.
According to Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Julia Roberts, and Don Cheadle have already signed on to the project. At the same time, the new installment won’t simply repeat the familiar formula of slick, stylish heists.
The story of Ocean’s Fourteen will focus on the theme of aging. The filmmakers want to explore the challenges professional thieves face when their former agility and speed are no longer what they used to be, and every decision comes harder than before.
Clooney also emphasized that he has no interest in making a film driven purely by nostalgia. As a point of reference, he cited the 1979 crime comedy Going in Style — a story about elderly robbers who decide to pull off one last job.
The original Ocean’s Eleven, directed by Steven Soderbergh, was released in 2001 and grossed over $450 million worldwide. The film later received two sequels in 2004 and 2007. The most recent project in the universe was the spin-off Ocean’s 8, released in 2018.
