The authors of the F1 racing drama are working on a sequel. It is unknown if Brad Pitt will participate
The F1 sports drama starring Brad Pitt will receive a sequel. This was reported to the BBC by producer Jerry Bruckheimer.
The film was well received by both the audience and critics. The film received four Oscar nominations, including in the Best Film category. Therefore, rumors about a possible sequel have been circulating for quite some time, but so far they have not been confirmed.
Now Jerry Bruckheimer has announced that there will definitely be a new movie.
The producer did not talk about the timing or the cast. In particular, about whether Brad Pitt will return to his role. At the same time, Jerry Bruckheimer clarified that he would personally participate in the selection of actors.
Jerry Bruckheimer also stressed that he was surprised how well the first film was received.
«It was a long journey to get the movie made because we had to endure a couple of strikes – but in the end, the movie entertained audiences around the world. I never worked with Brad Pitt before and it's really a thrill to work with Brad».
Recall that at the recent Super Bowl, a teaser of the spin-off Once Upon a Time in Hollywood — The Adventures of Cliff Booth, was shown. The film will be entirely dedicated to the character of Brad Pitt.
