The universe is expanding. Films about Spider-Punk and Gwen Stacy are in active development
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse will receive two spin-offs. Solo projects will go to Spider-punk and Gwen Stacy. Kristine Belson, president of Sony Pictures Animation, said that both films are already in active development.
Sony Pictures Animation recently celebrated the success of KPop Demon Hunters, but many people know the studio as the author of the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse franchise. And this story won't end with the third Miles Morales movie.
In a recent interview, Kristine Belson was asked how things are going with the spin-offs.
"I'm not allowed to say. But we are active on both".
Damien de Froberville, co-director of the studio, added that the visual component of the new projects is amazing.
It also became known that the team brought in the director of photography Alice Brooks, known for the films Wicked, to work on the visual part.
Let's remind, the first trailer of the Spider-Noir series was released the day before. The main role will be played by Nicolas Cage.
