First Teaser Released for New Evangelion Anime Series from NieR: Automata Creator
The first teaser for a brand-new Evangelion anime series has surfaced online, with acclaimed NieR and NieR: Automata creator Yoko Taro serving as the scriptwriter.
The teaser dropped just hours after the official announcement, which was made in celebration of the franchise's 30th anniversary.
It's been revealed that the music will be composed by Keiichi Okabe, known for his work on NieR: Automata. The directors attached to the project include Kazuya Tsurumaki, who worked on the original Evangelion, and Touko Yatabe, recognized for "Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc" and the first season of "One Punch Man." Animation is being handled by studios CloverWorks and Khara.
No release date or plot details have been shared yet.
For those unfamiliar, Evangelion is a cult-classic anime set in the near future. After a global catastrophe submerges much of the land, cities come under attack from giant creatures known as Angels. Humanity's only line of defense is the Evangelions—massive biomechanical robots piloted by teenagers.
