The Boys star Karl Urban wants to return to the role of Judge Dredd in a new film adaptation
Karl Urban, known for the TV series The Boys, wants to return to the role of Judge Dredd in the relaunch of the franchise. The actor told about this in the podcast The Discourse.
Last summer, it became known that director Taika Waititi, known for Thor: Ragnarok, would make a new film about Judge Dredd. It is assumed that the authors will retain their trademark black humor and will follow the plot of the original source.
It's worth noting that Karl Urban has already played Judge Dredd in the 2012 film. The film received high marks and the status of one of the best R-rated comic book films.
Karl Urban has confirmed that he wants to get the role again.
"I would love to reprise that role in a heartbeat. I really would. I had so much fun making that movie".
At the same time, the actor stressed that he did not mind if the authors of the film chose another candidate. The main thing for him is to see Judge Dredd on big screens again.
Fans will soon see Karl Urban as Johnny Cage. The actor said that shooting in Mortal Kombat 2 turned out to be the most difficult in his life.
