Netflix has expanded the cast of its upcoming series based on the popular Assassin’s Creed video game franchise. Noomi Rapace, Ramzy Bedia, Sean Harris, and Corrado Invernizzi have all joined the project in recurring roles, though details about their characters remain under wraps.

Noomi Rapace is best known for her role in Prometheus, Ramzy Bedia starred in Taxi 5, Sean Harris appeared in Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation and Mission: Impossible – Fallout, while Corrado Invernizzi is recognized for Ford v Ferrari.

Described as a dynamic thriller, the series will focus on the secret war between two powerful organizations—one seeking to control humanity’s future through manipulation, and the other fighting to preserve free will. The story will unfold against the backdrop of key historical events, with the characters striving to shape the fate of civilization.

Previously announced cast members include Toby Wallace, Lola Petticrew, Zachary Hart, Laura Marcus, and Tanzyn Crawford.

The show is helmed by showrunners Robert Patino and David Wiener, who also serve as executive producers.

Assassin’s Creed remains one of the most successful franchises in gaming history. Since its debut in 2007, more than 230 million copies have been sold worldwide. The series now includes 14 mainline games and tells the story of a centuries-old conflict between the Assassin and Templar orders, who use technology to access the genetic memories of their ancestors in search of powerful artifacts known as Pieces of Eden.

Filming for the series began last week in Rome. Meanwhile, Ubisoft is working on a remake of Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag, which was announced earlier this month.

Do you think Netflix’s Assassin’s Creed series will be able to capture the spirit of the games?
