“An Outstanding Script and Very High Stakes”: Robert Pattinson on 'The Batman: Part II'
Robert Pattinson appeared on the red carpet at the premiere of his new A24 film — and also shared some important details about The Batman: Part II. The actor has already read the script — and, judging by his words, was deeply impressed.
The script is outstanding. I think it’s going to be a really special film — and very, very different from the first one. It will be interesting to see how it turns out. It has very high stakes.
Colin Farrell, who plays the Penguin, has also shared his thoughts on the script — according to him, the story turned out gripping. Co-writer Mattson Tomlin previously described the film as “new and dangerous.” Specific plot details remain strictly under wraps — according to Pattinson, he even read the script from a special sealed package designed to prevent leaks.
Filming for The Batman: Part II will begin at the end of May 2026 in London at Warner Bros. Leavesden Studios. The cast, in addition to Pattinson, includes Jeffrey Wright and Andy Serkis, as well as newcomers Scarlett Johansson and Sebastian Stan in currently undisclosed roles. The release is scheduled for October 1, 2027.
Meanwhile, interesting details continue to surface around the film. It has been revealed that Cristin Milioti will not return as Sofia Falcone from The Penguin — her character will not appear in the sequel. And while fans speculate about what the new Batman will be like, Zack Snyder has already made his choice for the best one.
