Filming for A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms Season 2 to Wrap in June — Release Set for 2027

Production on the second season of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is well underway, with filming expected to wrap up by June 2026. According to current reports, the premiere is slated for early 2027.

Based on the works of George R. R. Martin, the series remains one of the key expansions of the Game of Thrones universe. The story takes place a hundred years before the original show and follows the adventures of Ser Duncan the Tall and his squire Egg, a member of the Targaryen dynasty.

With filming set to finish in June, there will be a lengthy post-production period—almost six months or more. This suggests extensive work on visual effects and final touches, which is typical for HBO projects of this scale.

If the schedule holds, viewers can expect to see the continuation of Dunk and Egg’s story in the first half of 2027.
