J.K. Rowling on the Harry Potter TV series: “It’s going to be incredible”

The first teaser trailer for HBO’s Harry Potter series has sparked a lot of debate. At the time of publication, it had amassed 6.6 million views, 213 thousand likes, and 112 thousand dislikes. The author of the original novels, J.K. Rowling, also shared her thoughts on the show.

J.K. Rowling is an executive producer on the HBO series. Earlier, she said that she was not directly involved in writing the script, but she did consult the writers and took part in “casting decisions.” In June, the author said that she had read the scripts for the first episodes and was thrilled with them.

The trailer for the Harry Potter series premiered on March 25. The first season is based on Joanne Rowling’s novel Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. The video features Harry, Ron, Hagrid, Dumbledore, Minerva McGonagall, and other characters from the iconic franchise.

The series is directed by Mark Mylod. It is expected to premiere on December 25 this year. Production is handled by HBO Entertainment, Brontë Film and TV, Warner Bros. Television, and Heyday Films.

According to rumors, the role of Voldemort may go to Paul Bettany. In addition, one of the actors has already started receiving death threats on social media.
