The finale of the Boys is fully prepared — showrunner Eric Kripke has said goodbye to the project
The Boys has reached the finish line. The author of the show, Eric Kripke, announced that the work is fully completed, including the smallest details. It became an emotionally difficult moment for him.
Eric Kripke said that the experts have made the latest color correction changes in the final episode of the fifth season. Now we can say that the work is one hundred percent complete, which means that the project is now being sent to the audience.
«It never truly hit me that it's over, cause there was always something to work on. Until today. This was the best professional experience of my life. I hope you like it».
Regardless of the events of the latest episodes, fans can be sure that there will be no new seasons. Eric Kripke previously said that he insisted on this in communication with Amazon management. The reason is that, according to the plot, Homelander has already seized power in the United States and imposed martial law there. After that, you can't pretend like nothing happened.
But this does not mean that the authors say goodbye to the universe of The Boys. There's still the series Vought Rising about Soldier Boy and his generation of supers. Jensen Ackles has already confirmed that he agreed to return to the role without hesitation.
