The Epic Trilogy Concludes — New Teaser for Dune: Part Three Released
Warner Bros. Pictures has unveiled a new teaser for Denis Villeneuve’s sci-fi film Dune: Part Three. The trailer is now available on YouTube and continues to build anticipation for the finale of the trilogy based on Frank Herbert’s iconic novel Dune Messiah.
The film is set to premiere on December 18, 2026, in theaters and IMAX formats. The screenplay for Dune: Part Three was written by Denis Villeneuve and Brian K. Vaughan. The movie serves as a direct sequel to Dune: Part Two (2024) and will conclude Villeneuve’s trilogy adapting the Dune universe.
Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Jason Momoa, Florence Pugh, Rebecca Ferguson, Javier Bardem, Charlotte Rampling, and Isaach de Bankolé are set to reprise their roles. New additions to the cast include Anya Taylor-Joy, Robert Pattinson, as well as Nakoa-Wolf Momoa and Ida Brooke.
Production on the film began in summer 2025 and wrapped in November of the same year. Filming took place in Budapest and Abu Dhabi. The score is once again composed by Hans Zimmer, who previously worked on the earlier installments.
Villeneuve originally stated that he intended to adapt Dune Messiah only if the preceding films were successful. Following the critical and commercial success of Dune: Part Two, the project received the official green light from Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros.
As a result, Dune: Part Three will serve as the final chapter of Villeneuve’s ambitious cinematic trilogy, bringing the story of Paul Atreides and the events on Arrakis to a close.
Notably, the third Dune has already been praised by acclaimed filmmaker Steven Spielberg.
Do you think the third installment will end up being the most visually spectacular entry in the trilogy?
