Netflix Drops Devil May Cry Season 2 Trailer — Dante and Vergil Head to Hell Together on May 12

Netflix has released the official trailer for Season 2 of the Devil May Cry adaptation. The new season premieres on May 12, 2026.

Season 2 will focus on the conflict between the brothers: Dante versus his twin, Vergil. According to the official description, “a war between worlds is escalating — and Dante must face the only force equal to his own.” The trailer highlights both their childhood memories and intense battles as adults, suggesting a deeper dive into their shared past.

At the same time, it’s clear the season won’t be just about rivalry — it will also explore their uneasy alliance against a greater threat.

The first season premiered on April 3, 2025, debuting at #4 in Netflix’s global Top 10 with 5.3 million views in its first week and reaching the Top 10 in 87 countries. It holds a 96% score on Rotten Tomatoes and was quickly renewed for a second season.

The series is created by Adi Shankar, known for the Castlevania adaptation, with animation handled by Studio Mir. Johnny Yong Bosch — also known as Nero in the game series — returns as Dante, while Robbie Daymond voices Vergil.
