First Look at Mckenna Grace as Daphne in Netflix’s Upcoming Scooby-Doo Series
Actress Mckenna Grace has shared a series of photos offering a first look at her portrayal of Daphne Blake in Netflix’s upcoming live-action series, Scooby-Doo: Origins.
Scooby-Doo: Origins is a modern reimagining of the classic mystery-solving teenagers and their iconic Great Dane. The plot centers on the gang’s very first case: childhood friends Shaggy and Daphne discover a puppy who witnessed a mysterious murder during summer camp. They are soon joined in their investigation by local residents Velma and Fred. The cast features Tanner Hagen as Shaggy, Abby Ryder Fortson as Velma, and Maxwell Jenkins as Fred. Josh Appelbaum and Scott Rosenberg serve as showrunners and writers, while Greg Berlanti executive produces alongside Sarah Schechter and Leigh London Redman.
The series is set for an 8-episode run, with a projected premiere in 2027.
Other projects currently in development for the franchise include the animated series Go-Go Mystery Machine and the short-form animated series Scooby-Doo Gokko.
