Stranger Things: Tales From '85 Renewed for Season 2

The animated spin-off Stranger Things: Tales From '85 has delivered impressive numbers, ranking among the top 15 streaming debuts in its genre. Following this breakout success, Netflix has officially greenlit a second season.
Alongside the renewal, Netflix unveiled several new collaborations. Jazwares is set to release a line of action figures featuring the "Hawkins Exploration Club" and new monsters like the Gourd Horde and Vine Dog. Funko will expand its Pop! vinyl lineup with figures of the core cast and Nikki. Fans can also look forward to a themed McDonald’s Happy Meal featuring character mini-figures. Additionally, composer Brad Breeck has prepared an official soundtrack featuring original 80s-inspired music.
Season 2 of the animated series is slated to premiere in Fall 2026 on Netflix.
Stranger Things: Tales From '85 premiered on April 23, 2026. The show is set in Hawkins during the winter of 1985, bridging the gap between the events of the original series' second and third seasons. It follows the young heroes as they face new paranormal threats without the help of adults.
In other animation news, Universal recently revealed the release date for the third Mario movie.
