What do you think of the first teaser trailer for the Resident Evil movie?
The film will transport viewers to that fateful night of the Raccoon City outbreak, familiar from Resident Evil 2, but with a twist—the events unfold during the Christmas holidays, adding a unique contrast to the atmosphere.
The story doesn’t focus on the iconic game heroes, but instead follows an ordinary person who gets caught up in the chaos and must fight to survive. Don’t expect familiar faces from the games this time around.
The creators also promise plenty of nods to the original games: weapon upgrades will unfold gradually, and mutated creatures will behave in ways inspired by classic game mechanics.
The film is also experimenting with its visual style—some scenes are shot from a first-person perspective, while others use an over-the-shoulder view to heighten immersion and put viewers right in the thick of the action. The premiere is set for September 18 this year.
