A Minecraft Movie Sequel Title Revealed Along With Logo
Warner Bros. and Legendary have officially revealed the title for the upcoming sequel to A Minecraft Movie. The second installment is officially titled A Minecraft Movie Squared.
The original film follows a group of teenagers accidentally pulled through a portal into the blocky Overworld. It smashed records with a $163 million domestic opening weekend, eventually raking in $960 million worldwide. The star-studded cast included Jack Black, Jason Momoa, Danielle Brooks, Sebastian Eugene Hansen, and Emma Myers.
Jared Hess is set to return to the director's chair for the sequel, with Oscar nominee Kirsten Dunst newly joining the cast. A Minecraft Movie Squared is slated to hit theaters worldwide on July 23, 2027.
