New Sekiro Anime Posters Reveal Wolf and Kuro

The creators of Sekiro: No Defeat have unveiled two brand-new posters for the upcoming anime adaptation. One features the series' protagonist, the shinobi Wolf, while the other spotlights his young lord, Kuro, whom he has sworn to protect at all costs.

The anime is set to premiere later this year on Crunchyroll. Sekiro: No Defeat is the first full-fledged adaptation of FromSoftware's acclaimed action game Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, brought to life with fully hand-drawn 2D animation.

The story follows Wolf, a seasoned shinobi on a perilous mission to rescue his young master, Kuro. Along the way, he must face the powerful Ashina clan, deadly enemies, and supernatural forces.

The series is being produced by Qzil.la, with Kenichi Kutsuna directing and Tatsuo Sato handling the screenplay. The creators have previously stated that they're placing a strong emphasis on the action choreography to faithfully capture the fast-paced, intense combat that made the original game so memorable.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice launched in 2019. Created by FromSoftware and Hidetaka Miyazaki, the action game is known for its punishing swordplay, posture-based combat system, and setting inspired by feudal Japan. It received widespread critical acclaim and won Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2019.
