New Street Fighter movie clip showcases Ryu's brutal prison fight with Blanka

A brand-new clip from the upcoming Street Fighter movie has been released, giving fans a first look at a brutal prison showdown between Ryu and Blanka. The film is set to hit international theaters on October 16, and the latest footage suggests the adaptation won't shy away from intense action.

The newly released scene sees Ryu taking on Blanka, who uses his signature electricity-based abilities in combat. Watching the prison fight from the sidelines — alongside the inmates — is the movie's main antagonist, M. Bison.

The clip opens with Ryu chained up before Blanka enters the scene and electrocutes another prisoner. It's a striking introduction that highlights just how feral and intimidating the character looks in the film.

Andrew Koji stars as Ryu, while Jason Momoa brings Blanka to life. The movie will also feature Ken, Chun-Li, and Akuma, making it clear that the adaptation has much more to offer than a single fight.
