The story follows Matt Hagen, a rising Hollywood actor who dreams of gaining recognition and building a successful acting career. After being attacked by a criminal, however, his face is disfigured, and with his appearance ruined, he loses hope of continuing his work in film.

Trying to restore his former look, Matt turns to scientist Caitlyn Corr. She offers him an experimental procedure meant to repair the damaged tissue. The experiment spirals out of control: Hagen's body turns into a malleable mass capable of changing shape and copying other people's appearances. After gaining these unusual abilities, Matt gradually loses his own identity and becomes a monster driven by revenge.

The international rollout of Clayface begins on October 21, 2026. The film opens in North American theaters on October 23. It will be released exclusively on the big screen, while the digital release date has not yet been announced.
