Widowed writer Tom Kennedy lives with his eight-year-old son, Jake. When the boy vanishes without a trace, Tom turns to his father, Pete Willis, a former police detective he has not spoken to in years.

Pete suspects that the abduction is connected to the case of serial killer Frank Carter, known as the Whisper Man. More than a decade earlier, the detective arrested the criminal, who had been abducting children, and Carter was sent to prison. Now boys are disappearing in town again, and local children are repeating a chilling rhyme about the Whisper Man.

The investigation is complicated by the fact that Carter is still behind bars and cannot be committing new crimes. Tom, Pete, and Detective Amanda Beck must find out who is continuing the killer's work and locate Jake before it is too late. According to the director, the film will focus not only on the investigation, but also on the difficult relationships between fathers and sons.

The Whisper Man will be released on August 28, 2026. The film will premiere exclusively on Netflix.
