Insider: Resident Evil 9 could be delayed
Insider Dusk Golem, who occasionally shares news about Capcom games, has reported that Resident Evil 9 might be delayed. A couple of years ago, the blogger heard that the game was supposed to be introduced in 2024 and released in 2025, but there have been rumors of a possible delay over the last few months.
Dusk Golem also noted that in the event of a delay, Capcom could announce some other Resident Evil game and release it before the ninth installment. However, he is unable to confirm or deny the rumor at this time, so he advises not to take it too seriously.
ResetEra users are already speculating about which second game Dusk Golem was referring to. According to a poll on the forum, players are most looking forward to remakes of the original Resident Evil and Resident Evil 5.
Previously, Dusk Golem reported that Resident Evil 9 would be the most expensive installment in the series and would feature an open world.
