Helldivers 2 has become the fastest-selling game in Sony's history, surpassing God of War: Ragnarok

Today, Sony not only introduced new heads of PlayStation but also published a fresh financial report for the fourth quarter of the current fiscal year. Thanks to this report, it became known that Helldivers 2 sold 12 million copies in the first 12 weeks.

Thus, Helldivers 2 has become the fastest-selling game for Sony, even surpassing God of War: Ragnarok. Obviously, the success is largely due to the release on PC.

The report also revealed that PlayStation 5 sales have reached 59 million units. Over the last fiscal year, the company managed to sell 20.8 million consoles (with a plan to sell 21 million), and sales for the fourth quarter amounted to 4.5 million consoles. For comparison, in the fourth quarter of last year, Sony sold 6.3 million consoles.

According to insiders, in the second half of May, Sony will hold a major PlayStation Showcase presentation where they will talk about upcoming releases. The PS5 Pro may also be announced during this event.
