During a technical presentation conducted by Mark Cerny, the architect of PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, Sony officially announced the PlayStation 5 Pro console.
The PS5 Pro will be the most powerful console in Sony's history. It will feature an 8-core AMD Zen 2 processor (16 threads at 3.5 GHz), an RDNA 3 graphics chip (33.5 teraflops), and 16 GB of GDDR6 RAM with a speed of 18 Gbps. The console will boast accelerated graphics rendering (45% faster than the base PS5), enhanced ray tracing performance (2-3 times faster), and PSSR upscaling technology. The PS5 Pro will not have a built-in disc drive, but it can be connected externally.
The PS5 Pro will be released on November 7. Its price will be $700 in the USA and €800 in Europe.
