YouTuber Turns Baldur's Gate 3 into a First-Person Game, Impresses Larian's CEO
With the release of comprehensive modding tools, Baldur's Gate 3 has undergone some truly mind-flayer-worthy transformations. Fans have already added real-time combat to the turn-based RPG, but now they've gone even further, turning it into a first-person action game.
YouTuber Proxy Gate Tactician took on the task of this transformation. Using several mods, he managed to lock the camera into a first-person perspective and played all the way to the end credits. Despite some control issues, the YouTuber described the experience as «the best gaming experience since its release.“
The YouTuber's video became so popular that even Larian's CEO, Swen Vincke, took notice. ”Now I want to play this — just look at it,» he wrote on X.
Earlier, modders also had fun with Tekken 8, adding familiar characters like Shadowheart, Astarion, and others to the fighting game.
