A humorous moment unfolded during the 2024 Golden Joystick Awards. Ben Starr, the actor and host of the event, unexpectedly brought up Bloodborne, lamenting its lack of a proper remaster.

«It's absolutely criminal that we don't have an official version of Bloodborne running at 60 frames per second,» Starr declared at the start of the show. The audience, equally tired of waiting for any news from Sony, greeted his remark with applause.

Ben Starr is known for voicing Clive in Final Fantasy XVI and Prometheus in Hades 2. At last year's Golden Joystick Awards, he won Best Lead Performer.

It's worth noting that FromSoftware has expressed interest in seeing Bloodborne re-released, but the rights to the series are owned by Sony. Meanwhile, enthusiasts have already managed to port the Soulslike to PC.

In related news, Sony is reportedly in talks to acquire media conglomerate Kadokawa, which owns FromSoftware. If negotiations are successful, the deal could close in the coming weeks.
