Bandai Namco has sold 28.6 million copies of Elden Ring

Bandai Namco has announced that Elden Ring has sold over 28.6 million copies worldwide as of September 2024. The game has seen an additional 3.6 million units sold in the last three months alone.

Elden Ring's phenomenal success has cemented its place as a critical and commercial triumph, surpassing all previous sales figures for FromSoftware titles. The game's outstanding sales are complemented by a slew of prestigious awards, including Game of the Year accolades from the Golden Joystick Awards, The Game Awards, D.I.C.E. Awards, and the Game Developers Choice Awards. Further bolstering its success, the major paid expansion, Shadow of the Erdtree, launched in June 2024 to widespread critical acclaim, considered by many to be one of the best DLC releases ever.

Adding to the already impressive momentum, a cooperative spin-off titled Elden Ring Nightreign was recently announced at The Game Awards 2024. The game is slated for release in 2025 across PC (Steam), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, with a closed beta test scheduled for February.
