Retroid May Soon Release the Second Version of its Retro Handheld, the Pocket Flip.

Retroid may be preparing to unveil the second generation of its clamshell-style handheld console, the Pocket Flip. However, no details regarding its specifications or design have been revealed yet. This information comes from Joey’s Retro Handhelds, a YouTube creator who claims the device is currently in development.
The original Retroid Pocket Flip launched in 2023 and caught the attention of retro gaming enthusiasts with its clamshell form factor, reminiscent of the Nintendo DS (minus the second screen). It featured a Unisoc Tiger T618 chipset, a 4.7-inch display, and a 5,000 mAh battery, providing enough power to emulate PlayStation 2, Sega Saturn, Dreamcast, GameCube, and other platforms.
If the rumors are true, the Pocket Flip 2 will likely come with more powerful hardware than its predecessor. A potential processor upgrade and design refinements could make it a strong competitor against similar handhelds from Miyoo and Anbernic. While an official announcement has yet to be made, retro gaming fans are already eagerly awaiting more news.
